Try to arrive in the Maldives ( Velana International Airport) as early as possible. A short boat ride from Male to Himmafushi Island allows you to make the most of your first day on the island.
Himmafushi Island offers a more relaxed and peaceful atmosphere compared to other islands in North Male Atoll. If you’re looking for tranquility and a break from busy resort life, this is the perfect place.
You will need to take a ferry speedboat from Male City Jetty #1 to reach Himmafushi Island, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Be sure to confirm your transfer details in advance.
The Maldives enjoys a tropical climate year-round. However, the best time to visit is during the dry season (November to April), when weather conditions are ideal for outdoor activities.
Himmafushi Island is a local inhabited island, so modest dress is encouraged, especially when exploring the local areas.
